North America
Orlando
Why not take a flight to Florida's Sanford airport located in the sunny Orlando.. This sunshine state has a lot to offer for everyone and is a great first trip to America for kids and adults alike. This is a place for fun seekers with its most famous landmark being Disney World. Kids love it but the young at heart shouldn't be afraid to admit that a trip to one of, if not the best theme park in the world isn't something to be ashamed of.
But that's not the only theme park to visit, why not make a week of it? You've got Sea World with its aquarium as well as its rides, Universal Studios for rides with more attitude and Busch Gardens with its Zoo and you guessed it.. rides! And that's to name but a few. This is the kind of place in the world where you could easily spend a month and not see all the theme parks it has to offer.
If that's not your thing, or you want a break from theme parks on your trip, why not check out the Kennedy Space Centre to see NASA's space complex tour. Those who time there trips well might even be lucky to see a shuttle launch which has to be seen to believed with the sheer volume and power that can be felt and heard for miles! These launches can also be witnessed from one of the nearby beaches, which will also give you a chance to soak up some sunshine and relax.

Los Angeles – California
You would be hard pushed not to find something to grab your interest in LA, a city world famous for its position in the world of entertainment. Film, TV, fashion, music and theatre are the its most famous traits and for lovers of these arts, LA is host to some must see sights from the Hollywood Walk of Fame to the Grauman Chinese Theatre that is often host to the worlds biggest film premieres.

This larger then life town has a lot of energy and culture to soak up and we highly recommend a trip to Chinatown. There aren't many places in the world where such a large part of another country seems rooted among the American buildings in its own world, its easy to get lost and forget that you are still in America! Also, take a trip to Venice Beach and check out some of the characters to witness some true dedication to vanity.
When you fancy something a little more challenging for the brain, LA plays host to a great science museum as well as many film and tv museums to really get an idea of what made this town what it is.

New York
The busiest city in the world has boomed even more since cheap international flights and car rental have become available and is fast becoming a popular place to visit for a quick weekend break or shopping trip. This is of course helped by the power of the Great British Pound over the US Dollar meaning that some items are effectively half the price for UK travelers. The selection of shops is endless and diverse and anyone from any walk of life will find just what they've always been looking for.
The night life in New York is just as diverse as its shop selection, so why not, after a hard day hitting the shops, try out some of your new clothes in one of the Big Apple's many hot night clubs or bars. You'll be able to find any style you want from live classical music and opera to blues, rock, dance music and more.
Feeling a little fried after the night before?
Take a walk through Central Park to one of its many secluded cafes
for breakfast and get out of the concrete for a while to enjoy some
of the 843 acres of nature the park has to offer.
If you do decide to visit New York on a shopping trip you should make sure you are within your limits with regard to bringing items through UK customs, as if you have gone over their limit you could be charged with duty on returning, not to mention a long wait at the customs desk.

Toronto (Canada)
Canada can be a lot cheaper then some of the bigger American cities. Being further north, the weather can be a lot more chilly than even Britain but there are many advantages to be taken of this. Toronto's tourist information describes the weather as “'Nine months of winter and three months of poor skating'.

From that alone its easy to tell the Canadians are friendly and have a good sense of humor and their view on health runs along the same lines. Many people will also be happy to hear Toronto is a smoke free city meaning that everywhere from shops to bars and clubs are smoke free. This is great for families and for those individuals who have recently stopped smoking but understandably wont be agreeable to everyone.
On the whole, Toronto offers the same diversity of shops and night clubs as that of New York and for those looking for an alternative to the American city we think you'll find Toronto just as special.
